Although skating was a joy she hadn't experienced in years, Elsa hadn't meant to suggest creating ice skates. It was more that she'd meant to deter him from dancing by claiming a lack of supplies. Yet she was entirely capable of making them, and evidently they both knew it.

His continual approach flustered her and for a moment she considered standing her ground. Instead, she decided to turn away, walking gracefully down the steps.

"That isn't safe."

Ice shoes upon ice stairs were quite a bit less dangerous than they would seem. Elsa formed the surfaces together, then detached them with each step.

She assumed that Alric would follow her down, and she wasn't sure how to deter him. But did she even want to? He might be able to help.
